Buy it once. Keep it forever.
$129 one-time for Personal, $199 for Personal+Business. Optional $39/yr keeps you current on bank parsers, tax rules, and new features. Stop paying and the app keeps working — you just freeze on the last version you had. Your data is yours forever, with or without us.
A note before you read the bullet list.
Some of the features below use names from financial-planning jargon. If they don’t mean anything yet, that’s fine. The quick translation: Monte Carlo projects your portfolio through 1,000 possible market futures. Tax Valley + Roth conversion windows are the low-tax years between retiring and Social Security starting — the cheapest time to move traditional retirement money into a Roth. SS claim-age scenarios compare lifetime totals if you claim Social Security at 62, 67, or 70. ACA bridge is the cost of health insurance between early retirement and Medicare at 65. See the Planning page for the deeper read, or the Help glossary for the same terms in fewer words.

✨ Included with every license
Glide — your in-app AI helper.
Click "Ask Glide" anywhere in the app. Get plain-English answers about retirement math, tax concepts, how to use a page, what a number means. Bundled in your annual maintenance — no extra subscription.
🔒 Doesn't see your accounts
Glide never receives your balances, transactions, or net worth. Just your typed question and the page you're on. Ask "what's a Roth conversion window?" → great answer. Ask "what's my balance?" → it'll tell you it can't see and point you to the right page.
💬 50 questions / month
Generous for the average user; resets the 1st of every month. Heavy users can paste their own Anthropic API key in Settings — Glide then bills Anthropic directly (typically less than a dollar a month) and our cap doesn't apply.
🚫 No advice, ever
Glide explains concepts. It won't tell you "buy X" or "convert Y to Roth this year" — those calls need a real financial advisor or CPA. We're a planner, not a fiduciary. Glide knows it.
Built on Claude Haiku 4.5. Runs through our Worker so your license key stays out of the browser. Renewing your annual maintenance keeps Glide active; if you skip a renewal, Glide stops while the rest of the app keeps working forever.
5-year cost vs the subscription tools.
Subscription apps quote you the monthly. We quoted you the lifetime. Here's what you actually spend over 5 years if you stay current on each.
| Tool | Annual | 5-year cost | What you have if you stop paying |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monarch Core | $99.99/yr | $500 | Read-only access to your data, then nothing |
| YNAB | $109/yr | $545 | No access; export-only window |
| Copilot Money | $95/yr | $475 | No access |
| Quicken Classic Deluxe | $72/yr | $360 | Read-only desktop app |
| Simplifi by Quicken | $84/yr | $420 | No access |
| GlidePath Money (renew yearly) | $129 once + $39/yr × 4 | $285 | The full app, frozen at year-5 version, with all your data |
| GlidePath Money (never renew) | $129 once | $129 | The full app, frozen at year-1 version, with all your data |
Pricing surveyed May 2026. Subscription tools were chosen at their lowest single-user tier. Our 5-year totals assume you choose to renew updates every year — you don't have to.
What the $39/yr renewal actually buys.
We don't believe in selling "updates" as a vague promise. Here's the concrete list of what's in the maintenance window each year.
- 📊 Tax-rules refresh — every Q4, the new year's IRS brackets, IRMAA thresholds, SS taxable max, ACA premium-tax-credit cliffs, Section 179 caps, Schedule C line numbers
- 🏦 Bank parser updates — when Chase changes their CSV format (they do, every few months), your extension keeps working
- 🔒 Security patches — every dependency CVE, fixed
- ✨ New features — whatever lands in the year you're current
- 🌐 Your private subdomain — stays online for phone access. Without renewal, the desktop app keeps working but the subdomain stops
- 💬 Email support — you get a human, usually within a day
Skip a year and your install keeps running with the tax rules + bank parsers it had on the day you stopped paying. Resume any time — pick up where you left off.
Beta access list
We're onboarding the first 25 users by hand right now. Send an email and you'll get a license key as soon as the next slot opens up — no payment until the beta is complete, and at a permanent discount once we go live.
FAQ
What happens if I skip a renewal?
Your install keeps working — forever. You just stop receiving new tax rules, new bank parsers, and new features. The version you had on your last paid day is yours to keep. Your data is plain files on your disk; nothing locks. You can resume the $39/yr renewal at any time and pick up the latest version. We don't believe in subscriptions that brick the app you bought.
What's the 30-day refund?
Buy GlidePath Money, install it, decide within 30 days you don't want it → full refund through our checkout partner Paddle. We'll deactivate the license on our side, the app will lock the next time it phones home (within a week), but the data files you've created are yours to keep on your disk. We don't delete your data.
Why one-time pricing instead of subscription?
Local-first applies to commerce too. You own your data; you should own your tool. Sublime Text, Beyond Compare, and Affinity all do the same — pay once, keep forever, optional updates. We think that's how software for your own finances should work. Subscription apps that brick when you stop paying are holding your history hostage; we won't do that.
How many devices can I install on?
Personal: 3 device installs. Personal+Business: 6 device installs. Each install is a full copy of the app on a separate computer. Phone/tablet access via your private subdomain doesn't count — only native installs do. If you need to move to a new computer, you can deactivate an old install from inside the app to free a slot.
Does my PC have to be on for phone access?
Yes. The phone reaches your PC via a secure tunnel — when the PC is off, the URL stops working. Most users leave their PC on or wake it remotely. A future Cloud tier (no PC required, zero-knowledge encrypted) is on the roadmap but not committed.
Do you have access to my data?
No. Your accounts, balances, and transactions are stored as plain files in
%LocalAppData%/GlidePath Money/ on your PC. We never receive them.
The only thing we host on your behalf is the sign-in gate at your subdomain —
which is just an authentication redirect. We can't read your finances even
if we tried.
Why not connect to my bank like Mint did?
Two reasons. First: your bank credentials shouldn't be sitting in a third-party vault waiting for a breach. Second: Plaid-style bank-sync services break constantly when banks change their UIs, leaving you with stale data. We give you three non-Plaid intake paths instead: drop a CSV in a folder, forward bank alert emails to your private inbox address, or use the browser extension to auto-capture downloads from your bank's site.
Will the price go up later?
Maybe. The $129 / $199 starting prices are what we believe the app is honestly worth in 2026; if we ship a major new version (call it v2) — like a native mobile companion app or household sharing — the new-customer starting price will move up to reflect the larger product. Your existing license won't change. If you bought v1 for $129, you keep v1 forever. The $39/yr renewal would bump you to v2 if you're current; lapsed users could pay a small one-time jump-back-in fee. We won't surprise anyone with a price hike on their existing install.
